About Us
Green Burial Pittsburgh is composed of two nonprofit corporations: 1) Green Burial Pittsburgh, Inc., which is in the process of becoming an IRS 501(c)(13) nonprofit cemetery association that runs our cemetery operations and 2) Green Burial Pittsburgh Conservancy, Inc., which is in the process of becoming an IRS 501(c)(3) nonprofit charity that handles our land conservation and restoration efforts, establishes public walking trails and park services on our lands, provides environmental education to the public and advocates for natural or ‘green’ burial everywhere. The same board of directors serves both organizations.
